Armenian politician draws an analogy between Aliev and Hitler
Making the war threats, Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev is just trying to prepare the public for military actions, shared his view a Republican deputy, Hamlet Haroutyunian. He said that the military mood of Azerbaijan is being supported not only by Turkey but also by the European and western structures.
“On the assumption of the international norms they don’t label Aliev’s statements as aggressor’s statements. In his part, Aliev is verifying the mood of the international community to understand how it will react in case of resumption of war,” said politician drawing an analogy between Aliev and Hitler who who, like Aliev, had been making military threats.
Hamlet Haroutyunian said that Armenia stands for peaceful settlement to the conflict, in contradistinction to Azerbaijan, whose declarations are unacceptable both to Yerevan and Stepanakert.
“Azerbaijan’s position fastens down the final resolution of the conflict. However, I believe that the sides will agree on reasonable solution within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group,” said Haroutyunian. He added: “Azerbaijan won’t resolve the issue by military meanings. Nagorno Karabakh has never been and will never be a part of Azerbaijan. This is illogical.”
