Turkey-Israel secret meeting takes place
Secret talks between Turkish and Israeli government officials took place in Brussels, BBC reports.
The meeting goal was to normalize the relations between the countries that had deteriorated after the Freedom Flotilla incident.
The meeting took place the day before, between Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and Israeli Minister of Industry, Trade & Labour Binyamin Ben-Eliezer.
According to the source, information spread in Turkish official circles that the sides agreed to continue similar meetings. Turkey’s stance was that Israel should make up loss, apologize publicly, international experitise should be carried out to disclose the incident.
According to the cursorinfo news website, the meeting took place secretly from Prime Minister Netanyahu’s coalition partner, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman.
