Action plan to fight against corruption in education confirmed
Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan on December 30 confirmed a new plan to fight against corruption in the education sector for 2011-2012 which has been approved by the government, Ministry press office reports.
The plan had been sent to all international and local NGOs dealing with education in Armenia for discussion and approval.
Discussions were held at the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Sport and Youth Affairs, Heritage parliamentary faction, Public Council of Armenia, Council of Rectors of Armenian State Higher Education Institutions, collegium meeting of the Ministry of Education and Science, student organizations.
The Ministry of Education and Science had received over 108 proposals from organizations and citizens which were included in the action plan.
