J. Gasparyan: Producers needed to found the duduk school

The foundation of duduk players’ school is mot aimed at making business but at teaching the kids in orphanages to play duduk, said Jivan Gasparyan, the famous Armenian duduk player. For several years he has tried to open a school of duduk players in his name, however because of financial problems the opening of the school is being postponed.

“I have passed my childhood in orphanage, and I know quite well does it mean to be an orphan. That’s way I want to support the children of the orphanage somehow,” J. Gasparyan stressed.

As the duduk player informed the building of the school exists, but it needs reconstruction.

“Patrons are needed for constructions. Some of the companies have promised to support but it won’t be enough. If there producers are found it will be possible to open the school in 2012,” the duduk player mentioned.
