Exhibition “Armenia:far and close” to be opened in St. Petersburg
Today the museum of Religion of St. Petersburg will kick off the exhibition titled “Armenia: Far and close”. Tv100.ru informs that this is the first exhibition within the last 70 years that is completely dedicated to the Armenian Church.
The exhibition includes around 120 patterns of icons, manuscripts, church utensil, notes of priests, books, and archive documents.
Monuments representing the life of the Armenian community of Russia will be presented in a special section.
According to the “Delovoy Petersburg” newspaper the exhibition also pays special attention at the Armenian-Russian correlations and the Lazaryans that had a great role in those relations.
