Israel deploys anti-missile system on Lebanese border
Israel has begun deploying some new elements of its Iron Dome antimissile system in the north of the country, close to the Lebanese border.
The Defense Ministry says the move has been prompted by the need to protect Israel’s northern border from attacks by the fighters of the Hezbollah Lebanese movement.
Hezbollah fired hundreds of missiles on targets in Israel during the latest Lebanese-Israeli conflict in 2006, the Voice of Russia said.
