Al Jazeera English to air film about Armenian Genocide
Al Jazeera English is to air a Swedish production film “Grandma’s Tattoos,” directed by Suzanne Khardalian from January 11 to 18. The film is dedicated to the Armenian Genocide.
According to Khardalian everything started with the idea of shooting a film on the victims of Ruanda Genocide. Studying the subject she discovered photos in French archives which reminded her about the tattoos that her grandmother had on her face and body.
She believes these signs witnessed the violence and sufferings which hundreds of thousands of Armenians passed through.
Writer and director Khardalian is an author of more than 20 films which have been presented in the US and Europe, the regnum reports.
