A. Tovmasyan: 80 aftershock followed Iran earthquake
“There were 80 aftershocks after Iran’s earthquake, 30 of which were recorded also in Armenia. 3 of them had more than 5 magnitudes. The last took place yesterday at the evening. At the moment the results show that no stronger quakes are possible from now on,” said today Ashkhen Tovmasyan.
Expert mentioned that Armenia is situated in a seismically active zone thus we shouldn’t make changes in buildings as they lessen the seismic stability of the buildings.
A.Tovmasyan called on people not to spread false information about earthquake.
