Tigran Urikhanyan: Problems should be solved, rather than discussed
Speaking during a briefing today about the statement the Armenian prime minister made earlier, ‘Prosperous Armenia’ (BHK) parliamentary faction deputy Tigran Urikhanyan said that he can express only his personal opinion.
T. Urikhanyan stressed that the 12 points were submitted not by the opposition, but are the people’s demands.
“These problems concern every Armenian citizen and require resolution,” the deputy said.
“We need to eliminate poverty, unemployment, emigration, etc. The number of such problems is not 12, but much greater – perhaps 15, 150 or 250. We should create opportunities for Armenian citizens so that they will not leave the country. These problems should be solved, rather than discussed,” Urikhanyan stated.
As reported, Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan declared today that most of the 12 demands submitted earlier by the non-coalition political forces of Armenia are not new: the government either publicly spoke about those demands or met them. H. Abrahamyan also proposed that the government and the opposition should set up a team of three members that will present a fact-based position on each of the points.
