Zurabyan: Troika of parties will not conduct negotiations with authorities
The ‘troika’ of non-governing parties took a decision not to cooperate with the authorities in a format of negotiations, the head of ‘Armenian National Congress’ (HAK) parliamentary faction Levon Zurabyan told journalists following a sitting of the troika.
“It is the troika’s answer to the authorities,” Zurabyan said, adding that the invitation to discuss the 12 demands made by the opposition is nothing other than an attempt to involve them in an imitation process.
“If we were sure that the authorities are prepared for cooperation, we would not object, but we do not believe. They intend to involve us is a long process of discussions and negotiations. Experience shows that these authorities will not make concessions. They intend to hinder the popular movement,” Zurabyan said.
