Larisa Alaverdyan: Azerbaijan is British Petroleum’s colony
Azerbaijan is a colony of British Petroleum and is unable to resume large-scale hostilities in the Karabakh conflict zone, the chairwoman of ‘Against Violation of Law’ Larisa Alaverdyan told reporters today.
“Great Britain has its interests in Azerbaijan and it will not allow even an oil pipe to be damaged. Baku can only commit acts of hooliganism,” Alaverdyan said.
According to her, Azerbaijan cannot act in such a way that no violation of the Geneva Conventions is committed.
“Ilham Aliyev put himself in such a position that he cannot appeal to the world. He rejected all the promises he gave his father at one time. Heydar Aliyev was more flexible, and during his rule there were quite active contacts between societies of the two countries. The sole purpose of Azerbaijan is to terrorize Armenian society,” L. Alaverdyan said.
