Parliament opposition collects signatures to hold special sitting
The non-progovernment forces of the Armenian parliament have collected 44 signatures necessary to convene a special sitting, the member of ‘Prosperous Armenia’ (BHK) faction Tigran Urikhanyan told reporters.
As was reported, the non-progovernment factions today boycotted the extraordinary session of the parliament as they demanded discussion of the recent assault on opposition MP Aram Manukyan.
The special sitting was to start at 6:00 pm.
The parliamentary vice speaker Edward Sharmazanov said he will not participate in the sitting if the non-progovernment factions collect the necessary number of signatures.
