Kazakh MPs approve bill to ratify agreement on Armenia's entry into EEU
At the plenary session on Thursday, the lower chamber of Kazakhstan’s parliament approved the bill on the ratification of the Agreement on Accession of the Republic of Armenia to the Agreement on the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), RIA Novosti reported.
Minister of National Economy Yerbolat Dosayev reminded the deputies that the agreement on Armenia’s accession to EEU was signed by Presidents of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia in Minsk on October 10, 2014. On the date of the agreement’s entry into force, Armenia becomes a member of the EEU and assumes the obligations envisaged by the Agreement on the Eurasian Economic Union and the contractual and legal basis of the Customs Union and the EEU, Novosti-Kazakhstan said.
“Armenia’s entry into the Eurasian Economic Union plays a great role because we cooperate with Armenia and our cooperation contributes to the economic development between our countries. Thanks to Armenia’s entry, we plan to develop our legislative interests,” Dosayev said.
