Kazakh Senate ratifies agreement on Armenia’s entry into EEU
The upper chamber of Kazakhstan’s parliament – the Senate has approved the agreement on Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).
Kazakh Minister of National Economy Yerbolat Dosayev said that the agreement of May 29, 2014 on Armenia’s accession to the EEU was signed by Presidents of Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Armenia on October 10, 2014.
Upon the agreement’s entry into force, the Republic of Armenia becomes a member of the Eurasian Economic Union.
The minister said that Armenia assumes the obligations stipulated by the agreement of May 29, 2014, as well as by the legal basis of the Customs Union and the common economic space.
According to him, considerable benefits are expected as a result of Armenia’s participation in the integration processes.
