CSTO leaders stress the need for peaceful resolution to Karabakh problem
The Statement of the Heads of State of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) was posted today on the official website of the Russian president. The CSTO leaders also indicated the need to solve the Nagorno Karabakh problem by peaceful means. The statement says in particular:
“We, the heads of CSTO member states, also indicate the need for an exclusively peaceful resolution to the Nagorno Karabakh problem, stressing the importance of speedy completion of the work on the main principles of the conflict settlement with the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs based on the principles and norms of international law, the UN Charter, and the provisions of the Helsinki Final Act, concerning in particular the nonuse of force or threat of force, territorial integrity of states, equal rights among peoples, and the right to self-determination”.
