Azerbaijani troops fire at border villages of Armenia
In the past four days the Azerbaijani armed forces have become active in the northeastern direction of Armenia. Although not many shots were fired, it was aimed fire, residents of border villages say.
“They opened gunfire on our house. A bullet penetrated a wall. 6-7 shots are usually fired a day, but it is aimed fire – they shoot at homes,” Aygepar village resident Vardush Poladyan told Aysor.am.
According to village residents, most of the shots are fired by snipers.
Azerbaijan has opened fire on Nerkin Karmiraghbyur village as well. Azerbaijani troops shot at a passing car yesterday, no one was injured.
Local residents link the intensification of the enemy’s actions with the approaching New Year holidays.
