Deputy PM: Georgia will do everything to keep current trade regime
Georgia will do everything so as to keep the current trade and cargo transit regime with Armenia at the same level, Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Georgi Kvirikashvili was quoted as saying by Gruzia Online.
The Georgian official said that Armenia’s membership of the Eurasian Economic Union and Georgia’s integration with the European Union are processes that mean several transition years and agreements on new regimes may be reached in that period, but the current regime will remain in force until then.
“We will try our best so that our two countries will remain at the level of the current regime,” the deputy prime minister said in particular.
The source reminds readers that Armenia and Georgia have a free trade regime.
