Conference on Armenian Genocide kicks off in Paris
In the framework of events commemorating the Armenian Genocide centennial, 4-day international conference titled “Armenian Genocide during Great War of the Ottoman Empire: 100 years of research” started in Paris on March 25, under the patronage of French president Francois Hollande.
According to the Armenian embassy to France, Minister of Education, Higher Education and Research Najat Vallaud-Belkacem led the opening ceremony at Paris-Sorbonne University. The conference will then continue in the Shoah memorial, March 26, the Paris School for advanced studies in the social sciences, March 27, and subsequently at National Library of France, March 28.
A number of prominent genocide experts, historians, political scientist, lawyers and journalists will deliver reports during this comprehensive event.
