Case of 7 on trial
Among the defendants are the former Foreign Minister Aleksandr Arzumanyan, Grigor Voskerchyan, Suren Sirunyan, Shant Harutyunyan, NA deputies Hakob Hakobyan, Myasnik Malkhasyan and Sasun Mikaelyan.
They are charged in accordance with Article 225 of Armenian Criminal Code (organization of mass disorders accompanied by murders) and Article 300 (coup d'etat).
Myasnik Malkhasyan is also charged with controlling the activities of police-resistance groups. Sasun Mikaelyan is charged with carrying illegal weapon.
The latter declared that they are not guilty and that they are merely civil prisoners who are in jail merely for their political views.
The prosecution on the case of 7 are prosecutors Ashot Nadoyan,
