Armenian Football federation receives «Fair play» prize
Yesterday at FIFA annual Award ceremony held in Zurich, FIFA President Sepp Blatter awarded Armenian Football Federation (AFF) a prize of «Fair play» for promotion of peace by means of football.
The prize was received by the President of AFF Ruben Hayrapetyan. Taking the floor, Ruben Hayrapetyan pointed that football has brought together two countries which have had no relations for quite a long period of time.
The same prize was awarded also to Turkish Football Federation.
It is worth mentioning that on September , 2008 Armenia-Turkey match was held in Yerevan and on this occasion President of Turkey Abdullah Gyul arrived in Armenia.
The best football-player is Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo. The prize to him was handed by the world-famous football-player Pele. The first football-player to receive this prize twice was Luis Figo.
