14-year-old Armenian boxer dies
At night on January 17, 14-year-old Armenian boxer Aleksandr Sharoyan died in Novosibirsk hospital N1. On January 5 the boxer had two fights in Boxing regional championship and won both fights. After he had been announced a winner, Aleksandr felt bad and went to the toilet. Some time later he was found lying on the floor without consciousness, news.ru reports referring to «Komsomolskaya Pravda» newspaper.
«The fight was normal. Heavy blows to make one lose consciousness have not been registered. Moreover, Aleksandr felt well both before and after the fight», one of the coaches said.
The boy was taken to hospital with closed head injury. The doctors have been trying to bring the boy out of coma for 11 days, however, they didn’t manage to. The cause of the death of the boy has not been disclosed yet.
The corpse of the boy has been taken to Armenia where his parents live.
