Russia seriously affected by global crisis

For the first time in the World Economic Forum history the keynote address at the opening of the annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland was given by Russia. In his address Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin declared that Russia has been seriously affected by world economic crisis.

«Addressing you here today, I cannot but mention the effects of the global crisis on Russian economy. We have also been seriously affected», Russian Prime Minister said, interfax.ru reports.

On Wednesday, the World Economic Forum was launched in Davos, Switzerland.

The Forum is being held under the world economic crisis, hence, 2,5 thousand politicians, businessmen and the representatives of the world leading organizations from 96 countries worldwide have focused their attention on the issue of anti-crisis policy.

In the frames of working groups discussions have been held on the factors which brought about the crisis, how to avoid its re-occurrence, what should be done to promote management of the world financial and energetic resources, newsru.com reports.
