U.S. Senate approves Obama’s anti-crisis program
The UA Senate approved Obama’s anti-crisis program after U.S. Secretary of the Treasury had presented the second part of the program to the Senate.
The program received 61 pros and 37 cons, lefigaro.fr reports. Among the supporters there are a few Republicans.
Obama’s anti-crisis program is evaluated 838 billion dollars though previously it had been estimated to cost 780 billion dollars.
Though approved by the Senate, the program has not been adopted yet. The Chamber of Representatives, that has approved another program valued 819 billion dollars, is to face quite serious talks.
So, before Obama confirms the program, both Chambers should approve it.
Remind that after assuming the post as U.S. President, Barack Obama has many times called on the Senate to approve his anti-crisis program as soon as possible. Otherwise, «the crisis will come to be a disaster», the President urged.
