Barack Obama signs his stimulus plan into law

President Barack Obama has now signed his massive stimulus plan into law in Denver, vesti.ru reports.

Last week the US Senate approved the $787 billion economic stimulus plan on mitigating the impact of economic crisis.

«The initiative isn't the end of our economic troubles. Nor does it constitute all of what we are going to have to do to turn our economy around. But today does mark the beginning of the end. The goal is to prevent millions of American families from losing their houses because they can't make mortgage payments», Obama said.

«Problems should be solved at an early stage not to live a deeper even crisis. If we want our economy prosper, everyone with no exception, should follow strict rules», US President added.

Obama’s plan calls «buy what is American». The call has arisen anxiety among US trade partners. For instance, Brazilian Foreign Minister has threatened, the World Trade Organization will object legitimacy of Obama’s initiative.
