Romania began talks with the EU and International Monetary Fund (IMF) on an anti-crisis loan, Lenta.ru reports referring to France Presse.
Romanian Government sources have said, Romania could borrow 15 billion dollars from IMF and another 9 billion dollars from the EU.
Romania’s finance ministry said, the credit and measures adopted by the authorities will help to strengthen financial stability as well as «ensure the establishment of a protective umbrella» in response to the world crisis.
The outcome of the talks will become known within 10 days.
