Nadal beats Nalbandian, reaches Indian Wells quarters
The Spaniard Rafael Nadal, winner of the Australian Open of the Indian Wells, met Argentine David Nalbandian, with whom Nadal holds a negative history, losing the previous two matches in straight sets and in 2007. This time the Spaniard bet Nalbaindian 3:6, 7:6 (7:5), 6:0. Nadal climbed back after losing the first set and falling behind 3-5 in the second. He then overcame four match points in the ninth game, and another in the 10th.
The 22-year-old Spaniard broke Nalbandian's service to pull even at 5-5, then both held. Nadal shot out to a 4-0 lead on his way to winning the tiebreaker and the set.
In the next round Nadal will meet another Argentinean player Juan Martin del Potro.
