Levon Aronian takes sole lead in Amber tournament
In Round 6 of the 18th Amber Blindfold and Rapid tournament, held in Nice, France, Armenian Levon Aronian won against Sergey Karjakin in the rapid game and ended in draw in blindfold. Having gained 1,5 points in Round 6, Aronyan has taken the sole lead with 8 points. Vladimir Kramnik and Viswanathan Anand rank 2-3, with 7,5 points. Kramnik ended in draw both games against Gata Kamsky, Anand won against Teimour Radjabov in both the rapid and the blindfold games. Magnus Carlsen and Alexander Morozevich finish 4-5, with 6,5 points.
Veselin Topalov, Gata Kamsky and Peter Leko have 6 points, Radjabov has 5 points, Sergey Karjakin and Wang Yue follow with 4,5 points, last to end is Vasili Ivanchuk with 4 points.
