Jose Mourinho: Inter needs to change its approach
Inter Coach Jose Mourinho has outlined ways he can improve the Nerazzurri and insists his future lies in Italy.
The Special One has built a commanding seven-point lead at the top of the Serie A table, but his side were dumped out of Europe by Manchester United, Channel 4 says.
«First of all, the club needs to improve the conditions we work in, starting with the training ground at Pinetina,» Mourinho said. «We need to change the training facilities to allow the players to give their best here. There need to be new pitches first of all».
«There is also room for improvement in the team. When you have youngsters with the potential of Mario Balotelli and Davide Santon you can't get complacent. Next year we have to try to use four or five youngsters like them. This club needs to change its approach and look to the future».
«Also, I can't continue working with 29 players. We will have to sell some during the summer».
With his mind focused on the future of Inter, Mourinho explicitly ruled out the possibility of leaving in the summer.
«That won't happen,» the Portuguese boss declared. «I'm not someone who just gets results in the short term, even though I won immediately at Chelsea and I hope to at Inter. Things aren't easy and we have to all pull together. Everybody is talking about me leaving Inter, but they should be expecting me to stay here for four or five years».
«I am not a self-centred Coach and I am working for the future of the club».
