Round 10: Levon Aronian takes sole lead in Amber tournament
In Round 10 of the 18th Amber Blindfold and Rapid tournament, held in Nice, France, Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian gained 1,5 points against Chinese Wang Yue. In the blindfold game Aronian won against Wang Yue, the rapid game ended in draw.
The world champion Viswanathan Anand lost to Morozevich first, the second game ended in draw. Norwegian Magnus Carlsen was defeated by Kramnik in the blindfold game and the rapid game again ended in draw. Now Aronian has taken the sole lead with 13 points. Carlsen and Anand have 12 points. Next to come is Kramnik with 11,5 points, Leko has 10 points, Topalov, Kamsky, Morozevich and Ivanchuk with 9,5 points, Karjakin has 8,5 points, Radjabov – 8 points, Wang Yue – 7 points.
