Vardan Jhangiryan receives suspended sentence

Court of First Instance of Center and Nork-Marash Communities of Yerevan, today has made a verdict on the case of Vardan Jhangiryan. He has been convicted in accordance with Article 316, part 1 of RA Criminal Code ( violence or threat of violence, not dangerous for life or health against a representative of authority or close relatives, concerned with performance of his official duties, as well as hindrance to the representative of authorities in the execution of duties under law) and has been sentenced to 3 years imprisonment.

Taking into consideration that the defendant has been jailed for 3 months, 23 days by now, the court has decided on the term of 2 years, 8 months, 7 days, according to Article 69.

In compliance with Article 70, the court has made a verdict of suspended sentence of 3 years.
