Nalchik to host 4th FIDE Grand Prix chess tournament
The FIDE Grand Prix series of chess tournaments continues onwards, with the latest event - the fourth of a planned six - taking place from 15-29 April in Nalchik, Russia, chess.com reported.
Despite the problems with the organisation of the series so far, it continues to provide some very strong tournaments and some great chess games.
The total prize fund in Nalchik is €162,000 and the time control will be 120 minutes for the first 40 moves, 60 minutes for the next 20 moves, and then 15 minutes extra plus an increment of 30 seconds per move for the rest of the game.
Game days: April 15-19, 21-24, 26-29
Rest days: April 20, 25.
