Aronian takes sole lead in FIDE Grand Prix tournament
Yesterday Aysor referred to Levon Aronian’s game in Round 7, FIDE Grand Prix tournament in Nalchik. Ivanchuk-Leko pairing game was underway late evening. Before Round 7 Peter Leko had 3,5 points and in case of victory against Ivanchuk he would come equal with Levon Aronian, running in the first horizontal. However, Ivanchuk managed to play to draw with the adversary and the players gained 0,5 points each. Levon Aronian has again taken the sole lead with 4,5 points. Karjakin, Alexeev, Grishuk, Leko and Svidler follow with 4 points. Hakobyan, Mamedyarov, Kasimjanov and Bacrot have 3,5 points, Kamsky and Elyanov come next with 3 points, Gelfand has 2,5 points, Ivanchuk ends last with 2 points.
