Youth World Boxing Championship to be held in Yerevan, May 23-30
Forty-eight countries have submitted applications to the Boxing Federation of Armenia to participate in the Youth World Boxing Championship due on May 23-30 in Yerevan, the press service of the boxing federation reports.
Over 500 people, including 283 sportsmen will arrive in Yerevan to participate in the boxing championship. The application deadline was April 23, but the federation still receives more and more participation applications even after the deadline has expired.
The countries to participate in the championship are:
Korea, Cyprus, Latvia, Wales, Sweden, Morocco, Australia, Nigeria, India, China, Finland, Israel, Cuba, Turkey, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Puerto Rico, Dominique Republic, Lithuania, Moldova, Greece, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Russia, Hungary, Algeria, Georgia, Iran, Armenia, Ireland, Belarus, Argentina, Poland, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Germany, England, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Romania, USA, Croatia.
Georgia, Iran and Turkmenistan have not yet confirmed their participation.
13 sportsmen will present Turkey at the championship. In all the weight categories presented are the sportsmen from Armenia, Ukraine, Hungary, Russia and the USA.
