Levon Aronian wins FIDE Grand Prix tournament in Nalchik

Armenian GM Levon Aronian celebrated a grandiose victory in the final round of the FIDE Grand Prix tournament in Nalchik. Aronian’s opponent was Hungarian player Peter Leko equally running at the top of the list with the Armenian player.

This, one may say, was the most principal, full-of-intrigues round. Our player managed to win against the opponent in a graceful manner and finish the tournament with 8,5 points, in sole lead. In one of his recent interviews Aronian said his parents met in Nalchik and now he tends to gain victory in the city and, thus, present a gift to them. We congratulate Aronian over the impressive victory and wish him in the nearest future to present his parents and the whole Armenian nation the world champion title.
