Armenian-American Intergovernmental Commission holds sitting

Today the sitting of the Armenian-American Intergovernmental Commission working group was held, the co-chairs being Armenian Economy Minister Nerses Yeritsyan and the Deputy Coordinator of U.S. Assistance to Europe and Eurasia Daniel Rosenblum.

Before the sitting was launched, the Armenian Economy Minister told journalists that a number of issues on the regional cooperation in the fields of transport, energy, communication are going to be raised.

«There are some suggestions over the development programs, events and discussions will be held in the frames of the Millennium challenges, including also the talks on the new policy with regard to free trade,» the minister said.

Among the commission members are Armenian and US state officials.

Armenian state bodies and the representatives of the US Embassy to Armenia and international organizations are invited to attend the sitting.

The previous sitting was held 6 months ago. The economy minister said, the protocol made during the previous sitting will be issued provided the commission approves it now.
