VivaCell-MTS has social programs as part of its activity

VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralf Yirikyan referred to the social programs conducted in Armenia and Artsakh at a press conference today.

«What we do is not a charity. Nor it is a benefaction. Whatever we do is cooperative responsibility and as a cooperative citizen, we work in this economy and we consider social programs as part of our activity. We are going to continue extending our hands to the society, to the public, taking some problems on our shoulders and aiming at their regulation, as far as our budget allows this,» he said.

The general manager said that every year social programs are taken into consideration when making the budget at the beginning of the year. Some programs have been carried out already, some are yet to be carried out in the upcoming 7 months, he said.

R. Yirikyan referred to the rumour spread over his assumed resignation. He said, the rumour has existed from the very first day he assumed the post, saying he is not going to take it for more than 6 monts or a year, since he knows nothing about the working conditions in Armenia.

«I would like to say that I am happy and proud I have had the opportunity to work in my country, to run this company, head members of a family, like our staff is. People are free to say whatever they care to. But we exist and have our mission to carry out different promotion programs through this company,» VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralf Yirikyan said.
