A. Tevanyan: In Armenia crisis conditioned by internal policy
«The first step to overcome the economic problems in Armenia is government-society transparent and public work and the adoption of predictable decision-taking policy. Second, it is the alteration of anti-budget policy to ease the taxes, and third, the changes in the monetary-loan policy to provide financial opportunities to business,» the director of «Politeconomy» research center Andranik Tevanyan said at «Armenia: facing the global crisis» economic forum.
Speaking about the peculiarities and differences of the crisis in Armenia and worldwide, A. Tevanyan said that there is a general impact on the Armenian economy, conditioned by the international economic crisis, but there is inter-Armenian situation, which has nothing to do with the international one and in any case, problems may arise here provided the internal economic policy is not changed.
Referring to when the global economic crisis will be over, A. Tevanyan said it is going to be «in accordance with the economic cycle theory.» Accordingly, at least two years will be required for the cycle – production, distribution, return of the financial outflow - to be over.
«In Armenia the duration of the crisis will be conditioned by our internal policy,» Tevanyan said.
