«Impact of the economic crisis deeper than predicted»
«The impact of the economic crisis on our economy is deeper than one could forecast,» the chairman of the Standing Committee on Finance-Loan, Budget and Economic Affairs of the NA Gagik Minasyan said referring to the «RA monetary-loan policy program (inflation report)» submitted by the Central Bank of Armenia.
Speaking about the dynamics of the changes the inflation undergoes, G. Minasyan said that «though we have price fall, nevertheless, 3,9% inflation is observed and this comes to be quite a mild index, though, a bit higher, than predicted.»
«The predictions the document involves are a bit optimistic, since the processes that are under way now evidence the deeper impact of the economic crisis and quite big efforts by the Central Bank will be required in this view,» G. Minasyan said.
According to him, the Central Bank efforts should be directed to ensuring stability of prices.
