Digitech Expo 2009 gets under way in Yerevan
Digitech Expo 2009, organized by Microsoft Office in Yerevan, got under way in Armenia Marriott Hotel today.
Welcome addresses were delivered by Armenian Deputy Economy Minister Vahe Danielyan, general manager of Armentel CJSC Igor Klimko and Microsoft representative Veronika Prikrilova.
V. Danielyan welcomed everyone present in the name of the minister and said this is the second time an event of the kind has been held.
«Digitech main target are business centers, we attach importance to innovations and are going to establish an innovation center in Armenia, which is another step in view of application of advanced technologies,» deputy minister said.
Igor Klimko noted it is difficult to underestimate the significance of the advanced technologies.
Microsoft representative V. Prikrilova assured that the events of the kind play a significant role in the development of younger generations and their contact with the advanced technologies.
The official opening ceremony of the expo was conducted by Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan. After cutting the red ribbon, he walked through the booths, accompanied by Economy Minister Nerses Yeritsyan, Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan, other officials.
