Gasprom says gas installation coverage in Armenia makes 92%
Currently gas installation coverage in Armenia makes 92%, deputy Chairman of the Board of Gasprom OJSC Valery Golubev said during the international conference "Armenia at the Crossroad of Communications" organized by the Eurasian Studies Institute in Tsakhkadzor June 22.
According to him, the index is higher than in many CIS countries, including Russia, where it makes 60%.
“All this has been created due to the principle approach, taking into consideration the objective and subjective opportunities. The program has been implemented in Armenia very efficiently and successfully,” Golubev said.
V. Golubev is convinced that Armenia has good opportunities for development of economy and integration in the power industry. The construction of a joint energy company is scheduled at Hrazdan TPP, to become the biggest in the Transcaucasus and able to supply electric power to Georgia and Turkey, ArmRusGasprom reported.
