Blatter condemns English Premier League
FIFA President Sepp Blatter condemned English Premier League for major financial investments made by foreign entrepreneurs. However, he also admitted that the international federation is not able to impact the current situation.
“In France, Germany and Spain only the citizens can be club owners. In England it is different. This issue requires attention. However, we don’t have any rights to meddle in such an economic process,” Blatter said.
Moreover, 9 owners of English Premier League clubs are foreigners.
