Jermuk, center of a healthful lifestyle

RA government approved of 2009-2012 strategy of Jermuk city development. The task is to turn this city into healthy and active lifestyles centers, which will receive many tourists from Armenia, European, CIS and north-American countries.

The following conceptual aims are set as basis for the strategy: to turn Jermuk into a tourism city with healthy and active lifestyle which will correspond to the international standards and will be developed as a resort, winter and cultural tourism center and pan-Armenian and international youth camping place.

100 000 visits of tourist will be disposed in a year, income of 100 mln USA dollars, 4000 workplaces. The strategy includes the list of the events based on the conceptual aims and issues, the Information and Public Relations department of RA Government reported.
