The press secretary of “Ekranas” wasn’t accepted in Baku

The press secretary of Lithuanian “Ekranas” club Gedas Sorochka who had arrived Baku with the delegation group to be present at the “Baku” – “Ekranas” meeting in the frameworks of the 2nd round of Champion League.

The Azrebaijani explained their decision saying that in the passport of Sorochka the visa of NKR is standing. Sorochka had arrived to Stepanakert with the Lithuanian journalists in the mid of May and took part in the CIS and Baltic countries journalists competition.

As Sorochka announced the only way to arrive Baku was changing his passport. But there was no time for this anymore and the press secretary of “Ecranas” was urged to return back.

The Azerbaijani authorities have put themselves in a funny situation behaving themselves as a capricious child who doesn’t want to deal with someone who is in good relations with his rival. Touchiness, impoliteness, complete absence of seriousness. No other way to explain the situation.

By this policy the Azerbaijani try to prove to the world that any form of the NKR recognition is taken too deep by them. It would be curious if other countries also would follow the example of Azerbaijan and would refuse entering their country the people who have visited Azerbaijan. No, it is simply impossible because you will not find any other country like this in the whole world, where the simple respect and politeness are at such a low level.
