A pink railway station opened in Masis city

Today the “South Caucasian Railways” Ltd presented to his first passengers the reconstructed and more comfortable Masis station.

The pink color attracted everyone and the burning sun didn’t disturb the first passengers to examine the place by walking around the station together with the executive director Marat Khokov, chief engineer Sergey Harutyunyan and other officials.

“SCR” chief engineer Sergey Harutyunyan told the jurnalists during the conversation that the Masis station has changed today its meaning and it is connected with the change of the scheme of the railway.

Sergey Harutyunyan mentioned that two passenger platforms have been repaired in the stations, railways, and included information technologies.

By the way it is the first time of using ITs by the help of which the baggage loaders can see their baggage on the screen.

“We receive new services. Before if we could learn about the arrival by phone now we can learn everything by computer, how the trains arrive, whether there is any unsafe condition or not etc.”,- the chief engineer said.

S. Harutyunyan touched also upon the financial part of the subject, mentioning that for the whole program 100 mln AMD is needed. 50-55 mln AMD is already spent over the construction, 20-25 mnl for economizing the railways.

“SCR” is completely electrified, is supported with the modern technological systems, has 75 stations, 4 of which are close to the boarder, that is to say the trains will reach the neighbor countries: Ayrum-Sadakhlu (Georgia), Akhuryan-Dogukapi (Turkey), Yeraskh-Velidagh (Azerbaijan), Ijevan-Barkhudarli (Azerbaijan).
