The advantage of the horse with Aleqseev
As we had foreseen in the third part of the FIDE “Grand Prix” tournament, taking place in Jermuk between Aleqseev – Inarkiev, the success was with the white. The Russian chess player could take the advantage of the horse at the end and got an important point. This victory gave him a chance to improve the situation of the tournament, as in the first two parts Aleqseev had met with Vladimir Hakobyan and Levon Aronyan and had gained only half points recording a draw in the game with the first one.
The tournament list continue leading Ivan Cheperinov, Levon Aronyan and Peter Leko. Vasili Ivanchuk, Yevgeni Aleqseev, Rustam Kasmijanov, Boris Gelfand, Pavel Elyanov, Sergey Karyakin, Etyen Bakro, Dmitri Yakovenko and Vladimir Hakobyan have 1.5 points each in their active. Gata Kamski is in the penultimate place and Ernesto Inarkiev has to get along with the position of rearguard.
