Last November several video materials were on Armenian Public TV Channel about the sexual assaults upon the pupils and the reigning situation in Nubarashen boarding school #11. Two girls talked about the sexual assaults, performed by their teacher of Armenian L.A. upon their friends and themselves in two of the videos. Only the first video was considered the basis for accusing Mariam Sukhudyan, the coordinator of the volunteering group, and the second video was declined. Nona Galstyan, the defender of the interests of Mariam Sukhudyan, Syuzan Simonyan, the former reporter of the Armenian TV 1 and volunteers today informed about this in the conference.

As have already been mentioned, Mariam Sukhudyan, green movement activist, was accused on 15 August, according to the point 3 of the second part of article 33 of the Criminal Code RA: false evidence for mercenary motives.

N. Galstyan mentioned that the terms for starting the criminal case were broken: 3 months instead of 10 days.

As to her, the basis of the accusation is the mercenary motives of Mariam Sukhudyan, which does not correspond to reality. Mariam Sukhudyan is responsible for the “10 Best Schools" project, realized in school # 11, and is reporting UN (which is financing the program) on holding the activities, spending the money on purpose, which she realized on time and properly.

“The investigating bodies do not even pay attention to the fact that the principal of the school made obstacles in the process of realization of the program and even refused to pay the money to volunteers part by part”, declared the defender of Sukhudyan.

On the question what are the future steps, asked by the reporter of Aysor.am, N. Galstyan said that a rejection was made, referring the investigatory body of Erebuni, as they consider that the preliminary investigation was held by a non-competent body.

“At the time when we get the answer which investigatory body has realized the preliminary investigation, we will decide on our future steps. The answer will be during this week”,-informed the defender of Sukhudyan’s interests.
