“If my going-off changes something, I can do it right now.”
Armenia’s national-team coacher Vardan Minasyan at the press conference after the match was upset not only because of the results of the game but of the fans’ attitude which demanded his resignation.
Interviewed by “Aysor” correspondent, Vardan Minasyan said he was dissatisfied with his wards’ playing.
“Of course I am unhappy with this game. The players made mistakes and missed the balls. Perhaps these mistakes can be forgiven during the Armenia’s Championship but in play with the team which forwards stand in Germany’s League Championship (Bundesliga) the failures of that kind lead to gol,” V. Minasyan said.
However V. Minasyan hoped the team would be in better shape in the play with National Belgium team.
At the “Aysor” correspondent request the coach also commented the fans’ attitude which demanded his resignation. “If my going-off changes something, I can do it right now,” he said.
In fact this statement is a sort of recognition that no one coach can reach the success with the team in the current situation.
Vardan Minasyan also noted that players got tired to the end of the game. Speaking about the possible changes in the national team in the return game with Belgium the coach noted that some players had received yellow cards, some had had injuries and it would be clear after further analysis who would take part in upcoming game.
“If we have problems with the players, we will invite footballers of the youth team,” V.Minasyan said.
