'From the lowest index towards increase'

“Next year we will definitely manage to stabilize the economy and will try to establish a platform for county’s further development,” said at today’s press-conference Minister of Finance Tigran Davtyan, describing 2010’s budget as “stabilizing the economy”.

Armenia has already reached the lowest level of decrease, thinks Mr. Davtyan, voicing the growth of economy since August.

“When comparing respective periods we see growth trends even despite their meager points.”

The Minister expressed a hope to see growth trends in coming months.

“According to our projections, of last 7-8 months drop by 18.5% will be reduced to points of 15%. We will meet a growth by 1.2-1.3% in 2010, thus, it brings an ability to announce the county’s outgoing of crisis. That allows us to make our living more predictable and manageable.”
