The area of IT is under the special attention of the RA President

On the second half of November in Yerevan will take place the first awarding ceremony in the sphere of IT called World Reputation awarded by the President of the Republic of Armenia, told the co-chair of the Competition committee, the advisor of the RA President Andranik Manukyan and Rich Goldman the vice president of the “Synopsis” company.

Speaking about the council of the competition A. Manukyan mentioned that the IT area is under the special attention of the RA President as Armenia in that area has a mighty comparative advantage what is already known in the world.

“It is known that the RA President has initiated events and awards for supporting and encouraging the development of this sphere in Armenia. This is the prize of the RA President for the international contribution in the sphere of IT which is being given once in a year to the people who have had their special contribution in the development of this area”, - mentioned the adviser.

A. Manukyan informed that the prize is aimed at knowing and praising the people who have had a big input in the sphere of IT.
Rich Goldman has highly appreciated the standards of the ITs in Armenia and the prospective of its development. He attached importance to the organization of such kind of competitions in a country which has its unique place in the world standards. He hoped that the prize of the RA President will have the same meaning as the Nobel Prize had; he also mentioned that the award-giving ceremony will take place in the same format and content.

According to the vice-president “Synopsis” they have already selected the first one who will get the prize and who will arrive to Armenia for getting the prize from the RA President. He informed that there had been presented applications from America and West Europe which as he says is speaking about the special attention towards the prize.

The prize consists of a big golden medal, on which the eagle of architect Rafayel Israelyan is depicted, and a diploma and a silver symbolic souvenir, these all are stated by the Council of the Competition.
