Artyom Melqonyan smashed up the Azeri boxer
The European youth league of boxing launched in Anapa, on which take part boxers born in 1995-1996.
Aysor.am has already informed that in the number of the participants of the continental tournament are Armenia, Azerbaijan, Byelorussia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Zech Republic, England, Estonia, Georgia, Ireland, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Turkey, Ukraine and Russia. It is the first European tournament within the frameworks of the school-children, and especially in this tournament will be experienced two new weight categories till 76 and 76+.
Thus the young boxers will fight for the golden medals in 18 weight categories: 38,5 kg, 40 kg, 41,5 kg, 43 kg, 44,5 kg, 46 kg, 48 kg, 50 kg, 52 kg, 54 kg, 56 kg, 59 kg, 62 kg, 65 kg, 68 kg, 72 kg, -76 kg and 76+ kg.
The first boxer that appeared in the arena from the Armenian youth team was Avet Grigoryan with 44.5 kg w/c. Ubfortunately he failed the first tournament yielding the Russian Yaghub Nuriev with 4:9 points. Whereas Artom Melqonyan, an Armenian from Kaliningrad who was fighting under the Russian flag smashed up the Azerbaijani Husein Narimanli with a score of 14:0.
